Summary of the week

Let's have a quick review of this week! Although I may not have a good job now, I will not experienced all these if I were not working in this company. I really wish I could have those days like during my internship. Well, let's come back to the topic of the day.

I went for work early in the morning on Friday. Due to I went out 10 minutes earlier than usual, I met a Utarian, SheiNi. This was my 6th time met people coincidentally. On Friday, one of my colleagues left her position. So, we had a farewell lunch with her together with another 3 colleagues. We went for a Pakistan lunch. The food taste so delicious and the price is fair.

Friday~Pakistan food with colleagues @ Trilogy
Natalie, Winny, Vivian, Yunsin, Sheng

At night, I went for a movie "The Gallows" with 2 of my housemates by car. This was my first time been to Wangsa Walk. The movie is actually a horror movie. I was frightened by few of the scenes. Actually, I was frightened by the sound of the movie. I never think that I have the chance to watch movie here. Summore, together with my housemate.

Saturday~Thai food with BFF, ShuShien @ Thai Up, Gardens, MidValley
First time tried this grilled chicken special mixed rice with green curry. The "design" is very nice and nice food as well.

Sunday~Japanese food @ Sushi Zamai, Fahrenheit88
Kehxin & Meiguan

We had a great chat last for 3 hours! We went to 3 shopping malls as well, including Fahrenheit88, KLCC and Pavilion. I enjoyed listening Kehxin sharing her working experiences. It is great that she is satisfying with her current position. It's really not easy to get a dream job.

Well, we met our former Taxation lecturer, Mr. Wong coincidentally. This was the 7th time in my life. So many coincidence in my life! How come? Anyway, I was shocked when I saw Mr. Wong. Thus, I was not able to say hi to him. Hopefully, he won't think that we disrespect him.

Conclusion of the week ~ I am satisfied with what I have now. Of course, I will look for better job soon and it is a must! Gambateh and good luck!

First Post after Working

Finally, I joined the corporate world. I am an office girl now. I have reported for work 3 days already. How do I feel? What's the feeling of a working adult?

Let's start with the life staying in a hostel with another 6 housemates comprised of 3 girls and 3 guys. Well, the feeling of a family doesn't exist in this "family". It's totally different from my internship days. All housemates create a warmed family. Now, everyone treat one another like invisible man. Among 7 of us, 4 are working adults, 2 are interns, and 1 student. The age range is from 18 to 27. All of us go out early in the morning and only come back at night. They don't even say hi and bye. Why is that so? OK lo....I tried my best to chat with them. I tried hard to find a topic to start for our conversation. Until now, there's still one girl I never talk with. In fact, I really don't like the feeling of being isolated in own world.

Well, let's move on with my working life. Everyday, I have to wake up at 630am. I take LRT to my office at 815am and I reach at about 835am. My office is just beside the LRT station. It is convenient indeed. Everyday, we have to sign in and out using thumbprint. It's quite troublesome because the fingerprint reader is located at 17th floor and my department is located at 19th floor. My company is comprising of 60% Malay, 30% Chinese and 10% Indian. Unfortunately, my colleagues in my department are all female!!! 6 Malay, 5 Chinese and 2 Indian. OMG!!! Due to this reason, we are not able to make friend with them. It's not because we don't want to make friend with Malay. Instead, they seems like don't want to talk with us. Exclude myself and HoD, only 3 girls are Chinese. One girl is also newbie like me and there are 2 more girls. One girl is quite unfriendly in which she never look at us and I don't feel like she want to talk with us. Sadly, I don't have bunch of friends to go for meals together. As compared to my internship days, I have about 7 to 9 of them having lunch with me. We chit chat and laugh together. Now...There's no more...First day, I had lunch with the newbie girl, HoD and another girl. Second day, I spent my lunch time to register as KWSP member. Third day, I went for lunch with the newbie girl. Why? The HoD and another girl were on leave.

My working place...

Our colleagues said the workload is this month is the lowest throughout the year due to off-season as fasting season. So, we were extremely free for the first 3 days. Yet, they said sometimes can work until 8 to 9pm. OMG!!! I don't want it. The senior who guide me is a Malay woman and I feel like she is not that patient to guide me.

This is the situation I faced now. How can I go about with it? Seriously, I want an environment where I can make friends with others. I don't to be isolated. Luckily, I was accompanied by my lovely hometown friends these few days. Without them, I really don't know where shall I be. First day and third day, I had dinner with Cecellia. Fourth day and fifth day, I have Yujin and Shushien.

Anyway, I have a happy Saturday, hanging out with them. Today was my first time been to Paradigm Mall and we had great meals there!!!

Korean food as lunchie :D

As usual, we Flake one Flake before going back.

There are more days to go...There's no end after working...No more sem break...No more no more...

Be happy, Meiguan...Convo is coming!!! Anyway, it seems like good result doesn't give you more...I really hope that I can get a job which I am very interested in and pay well.
