Land Below The Wind @ Sabah 2017

This is our very first time went to East Malaysia, Sabah! Although it is part of Malaysia, it took us 2 hours plus flight flying there. Generally, it is more or less the same as Peninsular Malaysia. After we touched down safely at Sabah, we went for a quick lunch before heading to Kundasang where our resort located.

The city of Sabah is not that big. You will definitely feel relax when you are there and temporarily forgetting the hassle of KL life.We had a very friendly driver guide over there. When we were on the way to Kundasang, we managed to see the famous floating mosque as well as the icon of the city, Menara Tun Mustapha (Yayasan Sabah) and Pusat Pentadbiran Negeri Sabah. The driver was just so nice to let us to take some photos in front of these famous building! He called Yayasan Sabah as "Big Battery". Yea~~ With some imagination, we "believe" it is a battery! Haha~~

Menara Tun Mustapha

Afterwards, we traveled to Kundasang. Again, it is a 2 hour drive from Kota Kinabalu to Kundasang. There's no highway and it's just a normal road. We could say it is 山路十八弯. There were so many cars on the road. Most of the residents are staying around the mountain area. On halfway to Kundasang, we stopped at fruit market to buy so fruits and it was tasted nice. When we were about to reach Kundasang, it was raining. We could feel the coldness. Our resort is located at higher part of the mountain. We felt a bit disappointed that we couldn't go out to take photos due to poor weather. We could only stay inside the room. The sky was started getting dark at 6pm.

On the second day, we wake up early in the morning at about 6am. We just found out that a lot of tourists were outside to see the sun rise and taking photos. I just realized that I was late. Thus, I quickly washed my face and went out to have a look. Wow! The Mount Kinabalu is just behind our resort, Dreamworld Resort. The view is just awesome! Now, we knew why so many tourists came here just to visit Mount Kinabalu! It is indeed the highest mountain in South East Asia.

Mount Kinabalu

After breakfast, we continued our journey to Kinabalu Park and Poring Hotspring. Upon reaching there, we went for a canopy walk and some jungle trekking. I regret that I did not wear sport shoes on that day. Then, we came to a waterfall.

Kinabalu Park & Poring Hotspring

In the evening, we visited the famous tourist attraction, Desa Farm. A lots of my friends had been there before and now it's my turn! People are used to say it is Mini New Zealand. Yet, I hardly feel that~ haha....We tried the ice-cream~~

Famous background of Desa Farm Kundasang

At night, we came back to Kota Kinabalu. Then, we looked for seafood for our dinner! We walked more than 2km just to find a restaurant to eat seafood.

Seafood dinner

On third day of our Sabah trip, early in the morning a about 6am, we went to Pasar just to buy pepper. Then, we walked back to hotel. It's indeed a good exercise! We found a "Big Fish" on route to Pasar! haha~

Heart of the city, Kota Kinabalu

I love KK!

We had our last itinerary for our Sabah trip which known as Mari-Mari Cultural Village! We got to know some cultures of the 5 ethnics, including Bajau, Murut and many more. We grabbed the chance to try some of the local food, drinks and some little game. As for last part of whole visit, local people had dance performance for the visitors. Last but not least, we had our lunch over there before going back.

Thanks to locals who drew beautiful flowers on our hand.

Photos taken with the "lengzai" local people

This is the "cabbage" at the round about and my mum like it so much xD

It marks the end of our short getaway~ 3D2N Sabah trip
~We would come again~ Bye and see ya! :)

Long Weekend + My Birthday

It comes to last month of 3rd quarter of the year. Yea~It's September! September is my birthday month. Thus, it shall be full of joy! It's so great that we had long holiday for 5 days! I enjoyed the past few days so much except today. Today is the last day of holidays and feel a bit lonely. Haha...
1st day ~ 31 Aug (Mentakab gathering)
A lot of people were going back to hometown on 31 Aug, including me. I just followed my Aunt back to hometown. We were trapped in the heavy traffic jam. We spent 4 and half hours to go back to hometown. We departed in the morning and reached at 115pm. We had DimSum at Restaurant Jin Xuan before going back. It tastes very nice! It had been quite long time I did not eat DimSum. At night, I manged to meet up with dearest primary school friends, Yujin, Dengleng and Shushien. We had a short meet up and yamcha time! Thanks Dengleng for the treat!

2nd day ~ 1 Sep (Gohtong Jaya, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Kampar)
We went to Kampar to visit my Aunt. Before that, we stopped at few stations to make our journey more meaningful. First stop was Gohtong Jaya. My mum bought some fruits especially Passion Fruit. She likes it so much! Then, we continued our journey to Kuala Kubu Bharu. We managed to locate some of the popular mural painting and took some photos since this was our first visit to there. Then, we were heading to Kampar. It had been one year since our last visit. And yes, Kampar continues to develop and we were able to spot the changes. We had a simple tour in Kampar New Town. There's one new condominium being built there! Wow! As usual, we had lunch at my favorite restaurant,  Hong Wei Restaurant. After that, we visited the new supermarket, Giant. At night, we had dinner with my Aunt.

3rd day ~ 2 Sep (Ipoh Gunung Lang, Concubine Lane)
We went to Ipoh after having our breakfast. Last time, we had been to Gunung Rapat. Thus, we went to another tourist attraction place, Gunung Lang. It has a very nice name "Mini Gui Lin". It's really very mini. The photos taken there look so nice! Then, we went to Concubine Lane. It's our second visit, thus, nothing much special. We had our simple lunch there before heading back to KL.

4th day ~ 3 Sep (24th Birthday)
Yea~ It's my birthday! So many activities being accomplished! First stop, we had DimSum breakfast at Jin Xuan Reataurant. Then, we went to Starling mall to have kind of window shopping. In the afternoon, it's 4D movie session, Anabelle~ In the evening, we had high tea at Haraju Cube. First try on this! Yeah! After that, we went to Citta Mall as there's sale at Harvey Norman. At night, dinner time at TGIF, the Curve. I felt really really full~

Once again~ Happy birthday to myself! It's kind of different birthday~~yeah~

Vietnam 越南。越爱 2017

Wow~Wow~Wow~
On 28 April 2017, we have paid a visit to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This is the 7th country I had been to, 17th oversea trip, and 32nd flights in my life! Also, this is the shortest oversea trip I had. It's only 4 days and 3 nights trip. Yet, we had a lot of fun over there!

We took Malindo Air this time. It's only 2 hours journey from KL to Ho Chi Minh City. We became one hour younger when we reached Ho Chi Minh because of the time difference of 1 hour between Malaysia and Vietnam.

Malindo Air~Pizza~
Our breakfast of the day~ Pizza~ The design of the packaging looked very attractive indeed!

Saigon Airport
This was our first time choosing Airlink Travel Agency~ We went there without a tour leader. Thus, we looked so hard for our tour guide once we reached Saigon Airport. The tour guide wear a pair of sunglasses, sitting in the crowd and holding "Airlink" signage. Yea~I was the first one who successfully recognize our tour guide. Luckily, he knows Chinese...

Cu Chi Tunnel

The first destination of our journey is Cu Chi. Finally, I was able to take this photo. They said people who are slim enough only have the chance to take this photo. Also, you must be tall enough. A lot of people is asking me did I actually think that there might be snake inside. I said I never think of this. At that moment, I only thought of how to take a good photo by going inside to this small hole. It is a very significant photo~ We got to know some history of how Vietnamese people survive during the war! It's not been easy for them to "create" this tunnel. It's awesome!

The People's Committee Hall of Ho Chi Minh
On the second day itself, we went for city tour. It'a tiring but memorable tour indeed. We went to few significant icons of the city, including House Opera, The People's Committee Hall of Ho Chin Minh, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office.

Most popular destination among tourists and here am I~ Notre Dame Cathedral~

The old post office is just opposite the church.

To all my dearest friends, have you gotten my postcard? Hope you all will like it! xD It's a very previous one, keep it nicely ya~

Can I be one of the cabin crew? It's my dream anyway~

Tourists must try the famous coffee in Saigon, Vietnam~ Yummy~ It's our tea time of the day~

War Remnant Museum~
We found that there's a lot tourists whose origin from Western countries inside the museum. We got to know some of history inside the museum by seeing the old photos, war clothes and gun!

Water Puppet Show
We got the opportunities to watch a puppet show during this journey. It's actually originated from Hanoi, Vietnam. Yet, we still have the chance to watch it in Ho Chi Minh~ We had been amazed by the show~ Great job to all performers! Thanks tour guide who let us know the secret of how they actually make this show happenned!

Water Puppet Show

Dinner on Saigon River Cruise
We had our dinner on Saigon River Cruise. It's a very grand "restaurant" on the Cruise. We also entertained by the performance of the local people. Also, we enjoyed the night view of Saigon river.

Night View of Saigon River~
Our tour guide named it as little "Wai Tan" of ShangHai

My Tho Elephant Ear Fish & Dinosaur Egg
Hey guys, do you feel that this looked so familiar? Yes! Recently, it has been shared quite a lot in FB! My mum said she is going to make the same fish as shown above during CNY next year~~haha
Everyone is busy taking photos when these dishes were served.

This photo might not clearly shown that we were taking canoe~
It made us remember of our trip to Bangkok last year~ 4 person 1 canoe and of course someone was controlling it for us. We are not the expert and so to avoid any accidents, let's get someone to be our "controller of the canoe".

The famous hat in Vietnam~ Wow~ Holding it to take picture is just so nice! It's so called "斗笠".

你看我,我看你~好有feel的一张~

This is the local fruit of Vietnam~牛奶果。It tastes yummy and how we wish to get some back to Malaysia. Initially, we planned to buy one and ended up we had bought 3 牛奶果! Its appearance is almost same with passion fruit. Yet, it is not!

马车呀~你慢些走咧,慢些走~
Actually, the horse looked so tired and our tour guide explained to us that the horse still not yet eat or drink for the day because there are too many tourists for the day! Pity the horse~~

Vinh Trung Temple
This is the Vietnamese temple and it's the last destination of our journey~How I wish I can sleep until wake up naturally everyday~So blessed~

Flied back to Malaysia~
Could you spot the uniqueness of Ho Chi Minh City? It is just so so so different from the view of Malaysia~

French Bread as our lunch of the day before taking flight back to Malaysia~
